Kick Ass! He was at the table, no one around, staring at the box the microwave came in. All of a sudden he says, That says No!

I would like to thank Max & Ruby’s First Greek Myth for this wonderful moment in my Mommy career. For those of you who haven’t known me too long, Brody turned three in October.

 

I’m getting fed up with a couple people I *work* with

I work in the corporate office, where all the accounting for the US division is handled. No other offices have accounting staff, or do any accounting functions. They have purchasing and recieving functions, but then they submit their documentation to us to process.

Well, somehow, our “Bill to” address has been changing on certain accounts. I had to call three different vendors today to change it back to our office, and found out what was happening. Turns out one particular person, without even purchasing authority, had been calling to place orders for others, with their permission and their purchase order numbers, and telling these vendors that she was in Accounting and to send her the invoices first.

I turned this info over to my boss, and I’m gonna try to keep my nose out of it and let him handle it. But let’s just say, I’m still pretty pissed.

And I think my cold is evolving, turning into a completely new species. I have half a sore throat, one pained ear, and the drippies are back. I had to sign the log at CVS to buy Dayquil/Nyquil tabs, since they have pseudoephedrine in them. And that made me realize, again, how outdated my driver’s license is. It has my address listed as the one from when I got pg with Brody, like four years ago. But it’s a cute pic, despite being knocked up, so I didn’t want to change it. It’s the picture that gets me asked if I’m Hispanic.

I’m starved, and waiting for the rice cooker to shut off.

 

Le Chevrolet Metro est grave milade

I took it in for them to check on why my engine light was on. I was so hoping it was just the timing. It wasn’t. The engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced. The estimate was probably over twice what the poor car is worth, so it’s time to start car shopping.

I so don’t want a car payment right now. I don’t know how I’ll do it. But for the most part, I would like to stay in denial just a bit longer.

I still haven’t eaten dinner

My food schedule is screwed up lately. I didn’t eat solid food until after two today, and even though I’m hungry now, I just don’t feel like chewing. Does that make sense?

I screwed up at work. I put off doing something I should have done a long time ago, and then couldn’t catch up. My boss took it over yesterday, and stayed late to finish. It ate a hole in me last night, so this morning, I brought a Venti White Chocolate Mocha, and a gorgeous chocolate cupcake from Starbucks. I wrote, “I’m sorry,” on the cupcake box. Yes, I’m serious. That’s how awful I felt. Cause it wasn’t like I screwed up on accident. My procrastination caused her extra work. Poor boss, both me, and her boss are Tauruses. She has to deal with our procrastinating asses all day long.

What they didn’t mention, and they should have, was the combination gas station flower/lingerie.

Yes, kids, I have been the recipient, many, many years ago of such an atrocity. An oversized pair of black panties, wrapped very tightly, on a stem with a fake leaf. You’ve seen them at the checkout, next to the packets of lemon salt and Newports, and thought, who the fuck would actually buy those.

Two words for you: my ex.

I don’t think I need to say any more, other than I’m gonna enjoy thoroughly spending Heart Day single this year.

After almost two years

We got a microwave!

And Sutton is enthralled. He’s on the counter, staring into the window, watching the food go around and around.

And the kids are happy. The both got tv dinners tonight
